प्रीत की लत मोहे ऐसी लागी
हो गई मैं मतवारी
बल बल जाऊँ अपने पिया को
हे मैं जाऊँ वारी वारी
मोहे सुध बुध ना रही तन मन की

Trisha's POV ;

After dinner, Kabir and I finally returned to the room. He immediately settled on the couch, his laptop open as he worked on something, while I went to take a bath.
Stepping out of the bathroom in my night suit, I found him still engrossed in his work, his fingers moving swiftly over the keyboard.
But my mind wasn't on him-I was drowning in my own thoughts.
Why? Why did he marry me? Why did he come back into my life when he was the one who left me without a reason all those years ago? What does he even want from me now?
A part of me was still seething with anger, the betrayal still fresh despite everything.
I sighed, shaking my head, and finally sat down on the bed.
After a few moments, I turned to Kabir. "Ohh, Mr. Bastard, give me your laptop."
His hands stilled for a second before he looked up at me with an amused smirk. "And why would I do that?"
I rolled my eyes. "Because I haven't been to the office in three days, and my pending work is piling up."
He raised a brow but handed over the laptop without arguing.
As I started working, another thought hit me. I turned to him again. "Also, you need to buy me a new phone."
He leaned back. "And why exactly would I do that?"
I glared at him. "Because I don't have mine. Unless you expect me to function without a phone?"
He smirked. "Maybe I do."
I scoffed. "Oh, so you kidnapped me, forcefully married me, and now you want to keep me phone-less too?"
He chuckled. "I never said that. But I enjoy seeing you demand things from me."
I rolled my eyes, and after a few more minutes of our usual banter, he finally gave in.
After finishing my work, I closed the laptop and lay down on the bed. Mr.Bastard , without another word, walked over to the couch and lay down there for the night.
As I closed my eyes, I let out a deep breath. The war between us wasn't over, not even close. But for tonight, I was too exhausted to fight.
🌷
The next morning, I got ready in my usual casual office outfit after taking a shower. Just as I stepped out, Kabir's eyes immediately landed on me.
He frowned. "Why are you dressed in formals?"
I adjusted my wristwatch and replied, "Because I'm finally going to the office today."
As expected, he didn't like that answer. "No, you're not."
I turned to him, crossing my arms. "Why not? Do you plan to keep me locked up in this house now?"
Kabir's jaw tightened, but his voice remained calm. "It's your third day of periods, Trisha. That's why."
For a moment, I was taken aback. That's why? I thought he would use some other dominating excuse, but instead, he was worried about my health.
I sighed and replied, "I'm fine, mr.bastard My cramps aren't that bad today, and I can handle work."
He studied me for a moment before nodding. "Fine. If you say you're okay, then go."
Downstairs...
As we walked into the living room, Pratiksha, Kabir's younger sister, immediately turned towards me.
"Bhabhi! Where are you going all dressed up?" she asked playfully.
Before I could answer, Prachi aunty-Kabir's mother-also looked up. "Beta, you're heading somewhere?"
I gave a small smile. "Yes, aunty- I mean mom , I'm going to the office today. I hope no one has a problem with that?"
Before anyone else could speak, Ranveer -Kabir's father-shook his head with a warm smile. "Why would we have a problem, beta? You can go wherever and whenever you want."
Prachi aunty nodded. "Exactly. No one here will ever stop you."
I smiled at them. At least his family isn't as controlling as him.
Meanwhile, Pratiksha and Vihaan-were having their usual argument over food.
"This is my toast!" Pratiksha huffed, holding her plate away from him.
"You already had one! I should get this one!" Vihaan argued back.
I chuckled softly. Their sibling banter reminded me of old times.
I was eating my breakfast when mr.bastard leaned towards me and said, "I'll drop you at the office."
I instantly refused. "No need. I can go by myself."
He didn't budge. "Ms. Junior, just let me drop you."
Trisha frowned and snapped, "Don't call me that!"
Kabir smirked, unfazed. "And why not?"
Trisha pressed her lips together, refusing to answer. She had no explanation-at least not one she was ready to admit.
I sighed, about to argue again, but then I remembered-I didn't have my car with me.
Damn it.
Swallowing my pride, I nodded. "Fine. But don't make it a habit, Mr. Bastard ."
Kabir smirked. "No promises, Mrs. Oberoi."
I rolled my eyes, focusing back on my breakfast, but a small part of me felt something strange.
🌷
At office,
Trisha's POV
As I stepped into my office building, all the employees greeted me with polite smiles.
"Good morning, ma'am," one said.
"Very good morning, ma'am," others followed in unison.
I nodded in acknowledgment and continued walking toward my cabin when Sid, my PA, approached me.
"Ma'am, I tried my best to manage everything in your absence. Also, as per your instructions last night, I've scheduled all your pending meetings for today," he informed me.
I gave him a small nod. "Good. Let's go through them once in my cabin."
Just as we were about to enter, my steps halted. My ears caught an unpleasant conversation happening a few steps away.
"I heard that Kabir Singh Oberoi forcefully married Trisha ma'am," one of the employees whispered.
"What else do you expect? He's just an animal," another scoffed. "These rich brats only know how to take advantage of girls. He must have-"
SLAP!
A sharp gasp echoed in the office as my palm connected with his cheek. The entire office fell silent, shocked by my reaction.
I glared at him, my voice firm and unwavering. "Tum hote kaun ho kisi ke character pe sawal uthane wale? Aur haan, hamne apni marzi se shadi ki hai. Aage se agar kisi ne mere husband ke bare mein ek lafz bhi bola na, toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga!" (Who are you to question someone's character? And yes, I married of my own will. If anyone dares to speak against my husband again, I won't spare them!)
I turned my gaze to the rest of the employees, my voice loud and clear. "Sabko samajh aaya ya nahi?" (Did everyone understand or not?)
A chorus of "Yes, ma'am," followed, filled with fear and surprise.
Without wasting another second, I stormed into my cabin, shutting the door behind me.
Taking a deep breath, I leaned against the door. "Haan, mujhe Kabir se nafrat hai. Main apna badla lekar rahungi." (Yes, I hate Kabir. I will take my revenge.)
But then, a bitter realisation hit me.
"Par iska yeh matlab nahi ki koi bhi unki insult kare, aur main chup chap sun lu." (But that doesn't mean anyone can insult him, and I will just stand by and listen.)
And that was the undeniable truth.
🌷
After working all day, I was completely exhausted. As soon as I stepped out of my office building, I was about to book a cab when my eyes landed on Mr. Bastard standing there.
Of course, if he's here, that means he's come to pick me up.
I hate him. Why does he even care now? If he had to leave me back then, why come back after so many years?
But right now, I neither have the energy to ask him these questions nor the strength to fight with Mr. Bastard. So, instead of arguing, I simply got into the car.
Kabir glanced at me and smirked, "Ms. Junior, thak gayi?" (Tired, Ms. Junior?)
I rolled my eyes, annoyed. "Don't call me that," I snapped.
"Kyuu?" (Why?) he asked, as if he was genuinely curious.
I clenched my jaw and looked outside the window, refusing to answer. I didn't want to engage in an unnecessary argument.
Seeing my silence, he said, "Aaj ka din kaisa gaya?" (How was your day?)
I sighed. "Theek tha." (It was fine.)
He hummed in response but didn't say anything else. Surprisingly, he didn't push me for more conversation, which was a relief.
🌷
When we reached home, I saw everyone in the hall-Prachi Mom, Ranveer Papa, Pratiksha, Vihaan, and Abhiveer.
Prachi Mom smiled warmly. "Beta, jaldi jaake fresh up ho jao. Hum sab tumhare saath dinner ke liye wait kar rahe hain." (Dear, go freshen up quickly, we are all waiting for you for dinner.)
I nodded. "Ji, Mom. Mai bas five minutes mai aayi." (Yes, Mom. I'll be back in five minutes.)
After freshening up and changing into a comfortable night suit, I finally came down and joined them for dinner.

🌷
As we all settled at the dining table, Pratiksha grinned at me. "Bhabhi, aaj office kaise raha?" (Bhabhi, how was work today?)
I smiled slightly. "Thoda hectic tha, lekin manageable." (It was a bit hectic, but manageable.)
Vihaan smirked, looking at Kabir. "Waise bhai, aapko kya zaroorat thi jaane ki? Bhabhi khud aa jaati na!" (By the way, bro, what was the need to go pick her up? Bhabhi would have come on her own!)
Pratiksha joined in, teasing, "Haan bhai, aap toh bade possessive lag rahe ho." (Yeah, Bhai, you seem quite possessive!)
Kabir shot them both a glare, making them shut up immediately, while I just focused on my food, pretending to ignore their remarks.
🌷
After a while, Ranveer Papa spoke up. "Mujhe lagta hai ki humein tum dono ka reception rakh lena chahiye. Yeh tumhari company aur hamare parivaar ke liye bhi acha hoga." (I think we should organize a reception for you both. It will be good for both your company and our family.)
I hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Ji, Papa. Jaise aapko thik lage." (Yes, Papa. As you think best.)
Prachi Mom smiled. "Beta, tension mat lo. Hum sab arrangements dekh lenge." (Don't worry, dear. We will take care of all the arrangements.)
Vihaan smirked again. "Lekin Bhabhi, aapko taiyar hone mai toh help chahiye hogi na?" (But Bhabhi, you will need help getting ready, right?)
Pratiksha giggled. "Haan! Waise bhi saree pehnna toh aapko aata nahi." (Yeah! Anyway, you don't know how to wear a saree!)
I glared at both of them while Kabir just sat there smirking, clearly enjoying their teasing.
Ignoring them, I continued eating, but deep down, I knew that tomorrow was going to be another long day.
Because tomorrow, Mr. Bastard and I would be the center of attention.
🌷
That's all for today 💓

Spoiler
Kabir said "Main soch raha hoon ki aapke liye ek red saree layi jaye. Aap usme acchi lago-"
("I was thinking of getting a red saree for you. You'll look good in it-")
Trisha replied (cutting him off): "Mujhe jo pehna hoga, main decide kar sakti hoon!"
("I can decide what I want to wear myself!")
